Delete your iLostPet account

You can delete your iLostPet account, and everything you've posted, at any time. It takes a minute and can't be undone.

In the iPhone or Android app

Open iLostPet and tap the profile icon at the top left.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account…
Enter your password and confirm.

On the website

Log in at ilostpet.com and open Profile.
Under Delete account, enter your password and confirm.

Can't log in?

Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We'll confirm it's your account and delete it within 7 days.

What's deleted

Your account: name, email address, phone number, home location and settings.
Your pets, your lost, found and sighting reports, and all their photos.
Sightings other people added to your reports.
Your messages and conversations, your alerts, and your phones' notification registrations.

Everything is removed right away, and copies in our backups expire within 60 days.

Deleting some of your data

You can also delete parts of your data and keep your account:

A report: open it, then choose Delete Report. Its photos and the sightings others added to it are deleted too.
A saved pet: in My Pets, delete the pet. Its photos are deleted unless a report still uses them.
Your phone number: remove it in Profile. Your home location can be changed there too.
Your alerts: delete them one at a time, or clear them all, from the alerts list.

Anything else, such as a single message, can be removed on request: email [email protected]. Copies in our backups expire within 60 days.
